SYNK LAB 개인정보처리방침

SYNK LAB(이하 "학원")은 학생과 보호자의 개인정보를 어떻게 다루는지 이 문서에 정직하게 밝힙니다. 좋게 보이기 위해 실제와 다르게 적지 않았습니다.

1 수집하는 정보

① 상담·등록 신청서 (크루카드 등록 페이지 · 광고 리드폼)

• 학생 이름, 생년월일, 연락처
• 보호자 이름·연락처·이메일
• 한국어 학습 배경, 목표(TOPIK 급수·목표 시기), 학습 가능 시간
• 관심사·취향(수업 개인화에 씁니다)
• 자유서술 답변 — 한국어 학습의 어려움, 학원을 고른 이유, 3~5년 목표 등

② 페이스북 메신저 상담 (자동 응답 봇)

• 주고받은 대화 내용 전체
• 페이스북이 부여한 대화 식별번호(계정을 구분하기 위한 번호)
• 상담·체험을 신청하시며 직접 알려주신 이름·연락처·자녀 나이
• 상대가 학생 본인(미성년)으로 보이면 연락처를 요청하지 않고, 보호자께서 연락 주시도록 안내합니다.

③ 학습 앱 사용 기록 (재원생)

• 출결, 과제 제출과 그 내용, 퀴즈 응답, 학습 포인트·성장 기록
• 앱에서 AI와 나눈 한국어 연습 대화
• 학원이 내부적으로 매기는 「이탈위험」 등급(아래 2항 참조)

④ 음성 녹음 — 말하기 수업 수강 시 필수

• 수업·발음 연습·모의 면접 중 녹음된 목소리와, 그것을 글로 옮긴 기록
• 선택 항목이 아닙니다. 학원의 말하기 수업은 학생의 목소리로 배워 학생을 교정하는 방식이라, 녹음과 그 활용에 동의하지 않으시면 발음 교정·모의 면접·회화 앱을 제공해 드릴 수 없습니다. 다른 수업은 이용하실 수 있습니다.

⑤ 사진·영상·활동 결과물 — 선택 항목입니다

• 수업·K컬처 활동 중 촬영된 사진·영상(얼굴·목소리·촬영본 전체를 포함합니다)과 수업 프로젝트 결과물
• 동의 없이는 올라가지 않습니다. 학원 홍보(SNS·홈페이지·브로슈어)에 쓰는 것은 등록 카드의 「초상권·콘텐츠 활용 동의」 항목에서 직접 고르시고, 마음이 바뀌면 언제든 활용 중단(철회)을 요청하실 수 있습니다.
• 동의하지 않으셔도 수업·앱·성장 기록 등 모든 경험은 똑같이 제공됩니다. 위 ④ 음성 녹음과 달리 이 항목은 수업 제공의 조건이 아닙니다.

아이의 얼굴과 이야기는 학원의 홍보 재료이기 전에 아이의 것입니다. 이 순서는 바뀌지 않습니다.

2 이용 목적

• 상담과 반 배정, 수업 운영, 출결·진도 관리
• 학습 개인화 — 응원 문장, 퀴즈, 성장 리포트의 소재
• 보호자 안내 — 매주 몽골어 학습 리포트 발송
• 학습 이탈 위험 판단 — 출결·참여 기록을 바탕으로 학원이 학생을 「이탈위험」 등급으로 분류해, 먼저 연락드리고 도움을 드리기 위해 씁니다. 이 등급은 성적 평가가 아니며 학생·보호자에게 불이익을 주는 데 쓰지 않습니다.
• 학원 운영 통계(개인을 식별하지 않는 형태)
• SYNK LAB과 그 관계·승계 사업체가 만드는 한국어 학습 서비스(앱·AI 학습 도구)의 개발과 개선 — 이 목적으로 밖으로 내보낼 때는 이름·연락처를 지운 형태로만 사용합니다.

학원은 개인정보를 광고 목적으로 판매하거나 제3자에게 넘기지 않습니다.

3 자동화된 응대와 판단

• 페이스북 페이지의 상담은 자동 응답 봇이 먼저 답합니다. 봇은 대화 시작 시 자동화임을 밝히고, 확정되지 않은 정보(수강료 등)는 답하지 않고 담당 선생님에게 넘깁니다. 언제든 사람과의 상담을 요청하실 수 있습니다.
• 위 2항의 「이탈위험」 등급은 자동으로 계산되지만, 그 등급만으로 학생에 대한 결정을 내리지 않습니다 — 사람이 확인하고 판단합니다.

4 처리를 맡기는 곳 (수탁자)

아래 회사의 시스템을 사용합니다. 이들은 우리를 대신해 저장·처리할 뿐, 자기 목적으로 쓰지 않습니다.

5 보관 기간

삭제 요청 시에도 휴지통 보관 기간(약 30일) 동안은 복구 가능한 상태로 남았다가 완전히 지워집니다.

6 자녀 자료를 받아보시는 방법

학생의 녹음 파일과 성장 리포트 카드는 인터넷에 공개하지 않습니다. 학원 계정으로 로그인해야만 열 수 있습니다.

• 성장 리포트 카드는 보호자 이메일로 이미지 파일을 첨부해 보내드립니다.
• 녹음 파일은 외부에 공유하지 않습니다. 대신 학생 앱의 「목소리 타임랩스」에서 처음과 지금의 발음을 글로 옮긴 기록으로 성장을 확인하실 수 있습니다.
• 그 밖의 학생 정보(연락처·상담 내용·성적 원본)도 학원 계정으로 접근이 제한되어 있습니다.

보호자 이메일이 등록되어 있지 않으면 리포트 카드를 보내드릴 수 없습니다 — 상담 시 이메일을 꼭 알려주세요.

7 여러분의 권리 — 열람·정정·삭제·철회

위 hello@synk.im로 연락 주시면 처리합니다.

• 어떤 정보를 갖고 있는지 열람
• 틀린 정보의 정정
• 삭제 요청 — 녹음·학습 기록·상담 대화 모두 대상입니다
• 동의 철회 — 즉시 중단하고, 보관 중인 녹음도 삭제합니다
• 초상권 철회 — 사진·영상의 홍보 활용을 중단합니다. 이 철회는 수업·앱·성장 기록에 아무 영향을 주지 않습니다

처리 기간: 요청하신 날로부터 7일 이내에 처리하고 결과를 알려드립니다 (백업 사본은 위 5항의 보관 주기에 따라 지워집니다).

8 미성년자

• 미성년 학생의 개인정보는 보호자 동의를 전제로 수집합니다.
• 상담 봇은 학생 본인으로 보이는 경우 연락처를 요청하지 않고 보호자 연락을 안내합니다.
• 보호자께서는 언제든 자녀의 정보에 대해 위 7항의 권리를 행사하실 수 있습니다.

9 안전조치

• 자료는 학원 계정으로 접근이 제한된 저장소에 보관합니다.
• 시스템 접근 권한은 필요한 담당자에게만 부여합니다.
• 외부에서 받은 글이 시스템에 명령으로 실행되지 않도록 처리합니다.

10 방침 변경

이 방침을 바꿀 때는 이 페이지에 변경 내용과 시행일을 함께 게시합니다.

Privacy Policy

Data controller: SYNK (business registration 697-65-00332), 23-2 Usadan-ro 2ga-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea — operating the Korean-language academy SYNK LAB in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Services covered: the automated consultation assistant on our Facebook Page "SYNK LAB", and the SYNK LAB learning app.

1 Information we collect

• (a) Enquiry / enrolment form. Student name, date of birth, contact details; guardian name, phone and email; learning background and goals; interests; free-text answers (difficulties with Korean, why they chose us, 3–5 year goals).
• (b) Facebook Messenger assistant. The full content of messages exchanged, the page-scoped user ID Facebook assigns to the conversation, and any name, contact details or child's age you volunteer when requesting a consultation. We do not request contact details from users who appear to be minors; we ask them to have a guardian contact us instead.
• (c) App usage by enrolled students. Attendance, homework and its content, quiz answers, learning points and progress records, Korean practice conversations with our AI, and an internal "drop-out risk" rating (see 2).
• (d) Voice recordings — required for our speaking course. Audio recorded during lessons, pronunciation practice or mock interviews, and its transcript. This is not optional for that course: our speaking method teaches from the student's own voice, so without consent we cannot provide pronunciation correction, mock interviews or the conversation app. Other courses remain available.
• (e) Photos, video and project outputs — optional. Images and video recorded during lessons and K-culture activities (including face, voice and the full footage), and class project outputs. Nothing is published without consent: use for academy promotion (social media, website, brochures) is a separate opt-in choice on the enrolment card, and consent may be withdrawn at any time. Declining changes nothing about the service — lessons, the app and progress records are provided identically. Unlike (d), this is not a condition of enrolment.

2 How we use it

Consultation and class placement; running lessons and tracking attendance and progress; personalising learning content; sending weekly progress reports to guardians in Mongolian; assessing drop-out risk so we can reach out and help — this rating is not an academic evaluation and is never used to disadvantage a student; aggregate operational statistics; and developing and improving Korean-learning services (apps and AI learning tools) built by SYNK LAB and its affiliated or successor entities. When data is exported for that development purpose, names and contact details are removed. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

3 Automated processing

Consultations on our Facebook Page are first answered by an automated bot, which discloses that it is automated at the start of every conversation. It does not answer questions outside its approved knowledge base (for example tuition fees, which are not finalised); those are passed to a human teacher. You may ask to speak to a person at any time. The drop-out risk rating is calculated automatically but no decision about a student is made on that rating alone — a person reviews it.

4 Processors

Google (Workspace, Sheets, Drive, Forms, Gmail, Apps Script) for storage, form collection and email; Google Cloud Speech-to-Text for transcription — the audio file itself is sent; Glide for the student/guardian app; Anthropic (Claude AI) to generate replies, homework feedback and learning feedback — message and practice text is sent; and Meta (Facebook/Messenger) as the consultation channel. These providers' servers are located outside Mongolia (primarily in the United States).

5 Retention

Voice recordings and transcripts, and enrolled students' learning and progress records: retained without a fixed time limit, to support multi-year progress records. Consultation conversations and contact details (including from people who do not enrol): kept for consultation history and deleted on request. System backups: 30 days, plus up to 30 further days in trash before permanent deletion.

6 How guardians receive their child's material

Student voice recordings and progress report cards are not published on the internet — they can only be opened by an authenticated academy account. Report cards are delivered to the guardian's email as an image attachment. Recordings are not shared externally; instead the student app shows a "voice timelapse" comparing transcripts of their first and most recent recordings. All other student data (contact details, consultation content, source records) is likewise restricted to academy accounts.

7 Your rights — access, correction, deletion, withdrawal

Contact us using the details in section 11 to request access, correction, deletion (of recordings, learning records and consultation conversations), or withdrawal of consent. On withdrawal we stop using the data immediately and delete stored recordings. One honest limitation: material already used to train an AI model cannot be reversed, because there is no way to remove one person's voice from a model after training; we do not use it after withdrawal. We respond within 7 days; backup copies are erased on the cycle in section 5.

8 Minors

Personal data of minors is collected on the basis of guardian consent. Our assistant does not request contact details from users who appear to be minors. Guardians may exercise all rights in section 7 on their child's behalf.

9 Security

Data is held in storage restricted to academy accounts. Access is granted only to staff who need it. Text received from outside is handled so that it cannot execute as a command in our systems.

10 Changes

Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with their effective date.
